OKWU, an Indian brand no older than a heartbeat has launched its first smartphone dubbed the Pi in the country along with a Bluetooth accessory called U-Tag. As per the company, its new smartphone will enable users to enjoy a more connected lifestyle by creating an ecosystem of gadgets.

The OKWU Pi weighs 138g and is 6.5mm thin, making it the lightest and the thinnest smartphone under Rs 6,000. The phone sports a metal finish on its body and features a fingerprint scanner capable of storing up to 10 fingerprints. It sports a 5-inch (12.7 cm) display with HD resolution. Backed by a MediaTek MT6735 chip which utilises four cores ticking at 1.2GHz, the phone gets 1GB of RAM. There's 8GB of built-in storage which can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. In the shooting department, the OKWU Pi gets a dual-camera setup on the back with an 8MP and a 2MP sensor. There's also a 2-megapixel shooter on the front. Both the primary and the secondary cameras come equipped with PDAF. Running Android Marshmallow, the phone comes backed by a removable 2,000mAh battery. The OKWU Pi supports 4G VoLTE connectivity as well,

The U-Tag Bluetooth tag is the first product in the U-Arena, which is going to be a lineup of IoT devices by the company. The tag can be attached to your belongings in order to find them easily should they be misplaced. Products tagged with the U-Tag can be tracked via the user's smartphone which can provide notifications when the belongings go beyond a certain distance. The location of the tagged belongings is updated on the server to make the tracking easier in cases of theft or loss.

The company has priced the OKWU Pi smartphone at Rs 5,999, while the U-Tag costs Rs 990.
